Abstract

The issue of the oil pipelines construction from the oilfield to the main oil pipeline or oil export terminal is under consideration. In the paper, when selecting the pipeline route, it is suggested that the compensation for the population should be taken into account in the amount of the lost benefits and damages along with the costs of the construction and operation, which makes it possible to avoid conflicts in the process of economic development of the territories of the North. For the selection of the optimal pipeline route, the use of the author's modification of the Shimbel-Otterman method is substantiated. A detailed algorithm for solving the problem and a numerical example confirming the high efficiency of the proposed approach to the solution of the problem are given.
