Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the fundamental principles applied by the plant for environmental activities. The dynamics of changes in gross emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, the volume of water taken from the Tsimlyansk water reservoir, the volume of wastewater discharges into the water bodies and the volume of waste generations are analyzed.

Activities related to performed environmental and environmental education The author notes the contribution of the nuclear power plant to the conservation and enhancement of aquatic biological resources of the Don region through the stocking the Don river basin with bream and carp fish.

The data on radiation monitoring in the sanitary protection zone and the surveillance zone of Rostov Nuclear Power Plant are presented. The characteristic features of the Tsimlyansk water reservoir and cooling pond with regard to the thermal regime and species diversity are analyzed, methods to fix the issues of bio-interference progressing in a cooling pond are presented.

Based on research carried out by the author, he has identified and proved negative determination by Rostov nuclear power plant on the chemical composition, thermal regime, and structural and functional characteristics of the aquatic communities of Tsimlyansk water reservoir and cooling pond.
