Abstract |
The problem of saving the natural complexes located on both sides of frontiers permanently is in center of attention of nature protection community. The identical or general natural territories (complexes, communities, habitats of organisms) separated by boundaries require application of similar approaches for saving natural and biological diversity. Cross-border cooperation in the sphere of environmental protection in especially protected natural territories of border regions is aimed at overcoming of distinctions in concepts of protection of natural complexes and a biodiversity of the adjoining countries. Such distinctions can result in mismatch of criteria of separation of rare and endangered species of organisms and thereof — legislatively issued lists of protected species of animals and plants. Distinctions in approaches to the modes of protection and use of the protected territories are caused by a dissimilarity of nature protection measures or methods of environmental management within the protected border territories. Unification of methods of inventory of natural complexes and objects, scientific researches and monitoring is of great importance for protection of a biodiversity in border regions. |
