Abstract

The results of the implementation of the scientific-edu-cational program ‘Arctic floating University” (AFU) are revealed in the paper. The program was implemented by Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M. V. Lomonosov (NArFU) during a marine expedition on board the scientific- expedition vessel “Professor Molchanov” in 2015.

The authors show the place of the field research in the educational process, including the acquired skills. The results of the research conducted during the realization of the cartographic-geodetic block on topographical bases formation for the complex research by the route ‘AFU” are given as a case study. The fragments of topographic plans with the objects of historical and cultural heritage are given in the paper. The fragments were created on the results of the field work.
