Abstract

On the basis of the forecast of the changes in the content of heavy metals applying the soil recycling sewage sludge approach, we have proved the possibility of their usage, as one of the problems to be solved in the production of agricultural products with the use of non-conventional sources of plant nutrition, is the monitoring of heavy metal contamination of agro-ecosystems.

This paper evaluates the effect of sewage sludge on the change in gross copper content after the introduction of sewage sludge at a dose of 10 t/ha; the mobility of copper in the sod-podzol- ic sandy loam soil is studied; the profile of the distribution of copper in the soil is considered, and on the basis of the data a migration rate of copper from wastewater sludge is calculated.
