THE PECULIARITIES OF HERBICIDES APPLICATION FOR REMOVING TREE AND SHRUB VEGETATION

Abstract

The article discusses the technological choice and distinctions of the use of non-agricultural nonselective herbicides to remove tree and shrub vegetations along the pipelines. The LLC Transneft R & D company developed the optimal technology of the removal of tree and shrub vegetation in the area of linear and site facilities. It is shown that for the application it is the most appropriate to use tank mixes of herbicides based on glyphosate and imazapyr. The chemical method can be applied with the height of the plant up to 2 m, and leaves a dead wood, the mechanical one promotes stool shoots. The best way for the removal of trees and shrubs is to use a combined method. When applying herbicides, it is advisable to select the active ingredients in accordance with the climatic zone and the type of vegetation.

To reduce the anthropogenic impact on the envi-ronment, the application must be in the strict compliance with the norms of using herbicides.
