Abstract

The article is devoted to the assessment of the eco-logical-economic conditions of the water system of the Penza Region. Special attention is paid to the study of the environmental situation in Penza and the Penza Region. The main source of drinking water for the residents of Penza, i.e. the Penza reservoir, is analyzed. The following factors that have a negative impact on the water system of the Penza Region are identified. The main indicators of water use are revealed and on the basis of the calculated evaluation of the ecological-economic conditions of the water system of the Penza Region, consisting of the economic assessment of damage from the pollution of water bodies and the assessment of social damage, inflicted on the population of the Penza Region, are identified. A set of measures to prevent pollution of the water system of the Penza Region is developed.
