Abstract

The article discusses the geographical and ecological features of ancient Akhsikent, i.e. its hydrography, climate, relief, internal waters, bio components, and, additionally, the issues of the future development of tourism. After implementing all stages of the Decree, not only Akhsikent, but all tourist destinations of the Namangan Region will obtain a new image. They will all be reconstructed and become attractive for tourists. Surely, new tourist routes will appear from Akhsikent, an archaeological site included in the World Heritage List of the UNESCO. On the offered eco-scenic routes for tourists, boat tours along the Syrdarya, walking tours of the site of Ahsikent, horseback riding tours to “Shakhand” sanatoria and Khodja Akhmad Vali historical museum, the symbolic grave of Umarshaykh Mirzo, and bus tours to the archeological site of Munchoktepa through Pop can be organized. Ahsikent, an important part of world civilization, a valuable source for the development of world science and culture, was the birthplace and hometown for Zakhiriddin Mukhammad Babur, a well-known poet and ruler, a grandson of Amir Timur. To develop and preserve the historical image of the town of Akhsikent, new projects are being created by the government.
