Abstract

The results of the studies of the flora and vegetation of the forest-steppe zone in the Southern Urals, carried out to investigate the processes of synanthropization of vegetation under temperate agricultural load are dis

cussed. The characteristics of forest and grassy vegetation of the study area are given; 4 groups of formations, 14 formations and 21 associations of the steppe vegetation with the proportion of synanthropic species in these communities were described. The minimal representation of synanthropic species is in the communities of the forb-grass steppes; the highest one is in the grass-forb steppes. Common trends of synanthropization of vegetation in the steppe and forest-steppe zones differ only slightly, but the proportion of synanthropic species in the communities of the grass and mixed grass steppes in the forest-steppe zone is much lower.
