Abstract

Environmental measures in the northern regions include the elimination, restriction or prevention of the exogenous processes development (thermokarst, thermoerosion, punching, deflation, etc.) that inevitably arise in the development areas of oil and gas fields. The method-ology of choosing the main environmental measures in the field of permafrost — cryolithozone is considered. In the study of long-term permafrost-landscape surveys of the intensive oil production territory in the taiga-marsh zone of Western Siberia, it is shown that it is advisable to use landscape extracts for these purposes grouped according to their degree of resistance to mechanical disturbances. The landscapes stability means the ability to resist the activation of technogenic-provoked exogenous processes. The list of universal nature protection measures for the purpose of optimum operating conditions of deposits in areas of permafrost distribution is given.
