Abstract

The article deals with the results of the studies of analytical indicators of soil samples and plant raw materials in the Birsk District of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The content of the gross and mobile forms of selenium and heavy metals (Cu, Mn, Pb, Ni, Co) has been determined in the soil and in the plants of the family Legumes (Fabaceae): Astragalus woolly-flowered (Astragalus dasyanthus Pall.), sweet-clover (Melilotus officinalis L.), white sweet-clover (Melilotus albus Medik.).

It is shown that the content of selenium in plant raw materials is much higher than in soil, and Astragalus woolly-flowered accumulates the maximum amount of the element.

The amount of heavy metals in plants is lower than its content in soil.

The coefficient of biological absorption (CBA) of selenium and heavy metals has been calculated. Se is the element of strong accumulation, Mn, Co and Ni are the elements of very weak capture, Pb is the element of weak capture. For Astragalus, Cu is the element of weak capture, for the species of sweet-clover it is the element of very weak capture.
