Abstract

The article deals with a wide range of issues and presents experimental data on the productivity of nutrition and energy value of forage plants. Due to the variety of food consumed, the fish are in first place among other groups of animals, with each species adapted to feeding with a particular food. As components in fish feeds, fodder crops are proposed: Timothy grassland (Phleum pratense L.), grassland (Lolium perenne L.), alfalfa (Medicago varia L.), pumpkin fodder (Cucurbita maxima Duchesne), beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.). The data on their yield and nutrition in the conditions of the Kaliningrad Region are systematized and the most promising of them for the production are revealed. The species that have passed environmental and economic tests, adapted to the regional conditions, were used. A wide distribution of perennial grasses in the region is associated with their high yield and feed value, longevity, winter and frost resistance, ability to otavnost, high responsiveness to improved agricultural conditions, the ability to increase the content of crude protein when used in sufficient quantities of fertilizers.
