Abstract

The results of the assessment of technological safety and environmental impacts of existing and projected LNG plants along the coastlines of the Far Eastern seas are considered. A high level of threats to aquatic biological resources during dredging operations is shown. The models, used to determine the nature of transport and sedimentation of the suspended sediments, do not allow us to make an unbiased assessment of the features of sedimentation of a given type in water areas. The conclusion was drawn on the need for detailed studies of the site of the LNG plant in the De-Kastri Gulf for the exclusion of the presence of depth suffusion on volcanic tuffs with the formation of non-homogeneities of density and voids.
