INDUSTRIAL OBJECTS IN THE LIMITS OF HUNTING GROUNDS: ECOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL ASPECTS OF IMPACT

Abstract

The article discusses the impact of industrial projects affecting the integrity of hunting grounds on the state of the number of hunting animals and birds, i.e. hunting resources. Due to the analysis of comparative data on the number of hunting resources in various economic zones of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the conclusion is formulated that there is no regular decrease in the number with an increase in the industrial presence.

The article draws attention to the lack of a legislative framework for mandatory compensation of losses to hunters whose lands are subject to anthropogenic factors associated with the activities of industrial enterprises. Currently, only hunting users from among the indigenous peoples of the North receive compensation for the losses from the loss of hunting resources.

The article proposes that the methodology for estimating the losses of hunting users should be improved, and that a mechanism, by which compensation payments will be sent to the hunting users themselves for reproduction activities aimed at increasing the number of hunting resources, should be developed.
