Abstract |
The work is dedicated to a comprehensive assessment of the ecological state of the soil cover of the Ivanovo Region. The retrospective analysis of the content of pollutants in the soil during the period from 2010 to 2014 is given. It was revealed that the soil of the studied region is generally characterized by a low level of contamination by heavy metals, macro- and microelements, and the areas with a high content of toxic elements are of a local nature and are located mainly in the border areas of the region. Regional background levels of elements were established. Modern GIS-technologies were used to construct maps of the spatial distribution of the studied elements. These maps together with the statistical processing of data (descriptive statistics, factor analysis) to identify the major sources of negative impact. Appropriate conservation measures to maintain favorable environmental conditions are proposed. |
