Abstract

In the paper, on the basis of physical research of drill cuttings samples, the author evaluated the humidity of drill cuttings for their possible use in a mixture with the environmentally inert natural materials (sand, sandy loam) to obtain remediation mixtures with the humidity, that excludes waterlogging of the area after technical and biological remediation activities. With regard to the requirements for humidity, established for the ground for the construction of roadbed, it is revealed that the drill cuttings samples possess high humidity, which excludes their use in its pure form as a mixture for remediation. Along with this, the obtained mixture based on drill cuttings, sand, and sandy loam can be used as remediation material which, when placed in soil, will do no harm to environmental objects, will not disrupt the water balance of soils and will not waterlog the area.

Keywords
