Abstract

In the article the hydrographic network of the Late Pleistocene and the Early Holocene in considered. It is known, that the Caspian Sea rose at different altitude levels. Rivers followed the retreating coastal sea lines and formed short-term deltas. Some deltas stopped at one level, while others moved farther to the south and increased in size. The Ural River, the Uil, the Sagiz and others branched into multiple channels and created accumulative or sculptural deltas. The article is devoted to the analysis of the river network and the development of deltas.

Keywords

sculptural and accumulative delta, the Late Khvalyn and Neo-Caspian transgression, the Ural River, the Sagiz, the Uil, river branches, branching of the breakthrough valley.
