Abstract

The development of hatchery system in the Far East is the main method of refilling the number of the Pacific salmon. Annually the Far Eastern hatcheries release more than 800—900 mln juvenile fish of the Pacific salmon into the sea. One of the reasons that reduces the effectiveness of the reproduction on salmon hatcheries (LRZ), is the death of the juvenile fish or their poor physiological condition due to the diseases of different etiology [1]. A comprehensive study of the issues of morbidity of the salmon, understanding the factors that contribute to the emergence and spread of diseases and the development of modern methods of diagnosis, diseases treatment and prevention for the salmon, cultivated in the Far Eastern hatcheries become currently of special significance, not only for science, but also in practical application. The problem of fish pathology acquires particular urgency at the moment and due to the increase of anthropogenic pressure on the environment, including that on natural water bodies [3].

The purpose of the work is to analyze the situation on the modern ichthyo-pathological hatcheries of the Far East and to evaluate the effectiveness of prevention and treatment of major diseases of the cultivated species.

Keywords

aquaculture, epizootic well-being, ichthyo- pathological situation, functional diseases.
