Abstract

The article clarifies the concepts of the industrial and eco-industrial parks, reveals the functions of its management companies, analyzes the competitive advantages for the location of enterprises in industrial and eco-industrial parks. The development of industrial parks in Russia is studied. The eco-industrial parks (EIPs) or regional interindustrial waste management networks are identified as a promising approach to ensure the sustainable development relating to the closure of circulation for raw and other materials in production processes, as well as the minimization of the emission for materials and energy. The planning process for the provision and use of the resources within the framework of the EIP and the eco-industrial network is proposed as a means to avoid regional conflicts. The possibilities of the Chinese experience for the Russian Federation in the creation of the EIT are explored. The creation of energy cascades are recommended for the effectiveness increase of energy use in the EIP.

Keywords

an eco-industrial park, an eco-industrial network, circular economy, energy cascades.
