Abstract

The sea coasts of the Baltic Sea Region have common development trends in the tourism sector, partly due to the commonality of their geomorphological structure and dynamics. Currently, the beach and bathing recreation is one of the main types of recreation in the region. However, there are a number of issues, the main of which is associated with the high rate of loss of the major recreational resource — the beach. The article is devoted to recreational geo-morphological zoning of the coasts of the South-Eastern Baltic Coast for the purpose of the further assessment of the quality management related to improving the efficiency of recreational activities. Since now there are no commonly accepted boundaries of the South-Eastern Baltic Sea Region, the authors of this article offer one of the options for zoning in terms of both tourism and recreation, and the properties of the terrain.
