Abstract

In the article, the water — oxygen system was investigated to assess the degree of its contamination and the concentration dis-tribution of cations and anions in solution. The results of the in-vestigations made it possible to calculate the thermodynamic pa-rameters of the system, determine the equilibrium composition, pH and Eh ionic strength (I) of the solution. The changes in the water temperature from 278 to 303 K at CO2 = 9 mg/l showed the changes in the concentrations of individual cations and anions in the aqueous solution. It is shown that the oxidation-reduction potential of a solution increases with the concentration of dis¬solved oxygen in water from 3 to 20 mg/l at a temperature of 288.15 K from 0.788 V to 0.7949 V, i.e. the solution medium is oxidative.
