Abstract

The goal of the research was to assess the state of forest phytocenoses of the Kaluga urban pine forest, one of the most important recreational sites of the city. The complex comparative assessment of potential sustainability, variability, recreational load and attractiveness ofpine forest sites located in different blocks was carried out, and the main types of recreational activities of holidaymakers were identified. As a result, the most problematic areas of recreational forest management were found. In the course of investigation, the correlation between the indicators of variability and attractiveness, as well as that of the recreational load, were identified. The data from the research can be used by the town-planning and nature protection bodies of the region and serve the basis for the

passport of the state of the forest communities of the Kaluga urban pine forest for the further work to preserve and restore the most important ecosystem functions of the communities of this forest.

Keywords
